Festival Fashion: Whats Trending for 2022?

Best festival outfits 2022

Are your festival outfit styling skills feeling a little neglected? It's been a very long two years, but festival fashion is officially a topic of discussion again. Festival season has returned and the fun of clashing together neon colours and sequin pieces is back in the vibe bucket.

Of course, if you've clicked on this blog for inspiration, you're in luck. Below, we've shared the BEST festival outfit ideas for 2022. From the classic cargo skirt to block colour prints, it's time to talk festival fashion.

Reminder: The best festival outfits are those that make you feel your sassiest, sexiest and all most importantly best version of yourself.

Let's get started.

Cargo Skirts

This winter we saw the fastest return to the 90's with cargo trousers booming on Gen Z's favourite marketplace platform, Depop. So it's unquestionable the winter favourite will be swapped out for this years new summer staple, cargo skirts. Are we going to see a rise in military inspired pieces? I think so. Pair with a pair of black chunky boots and low key shades for the simple but sassy festival look.

Sequins

Waterproofs and wellies may be festival necessities but we have an undying love for sequin pieces and they are staying. Sequins are one of the only fashion trends that will prevail through 2022 and beyond. The love for sparkles and glitter is enough for any festival-goer looking to add dazzle to their outfit under the sun.

Bucket Hats

We're going back to 90's again because not only have cargos made an infamous return, bucket hats are now dominating the summer accessory wardrobe. If you walk through Glastonbury, it would be hard to spot someone without a bucket hat. Not only are they great protection for your head when the intense festival sun is beating down on you all weekend, bucket hats are a great way to add a pop of colour to your festival style.

Knit bucket hats have been trending after Bella Hadid and Hailey Beiber bopped the styles on summer holidays. But we think denim bucket hats are the real show stopper with Instagram influencers rocking Jacquemus in their vacay pictures.

Mesh Dresses

Mesh is having a major moment. Sexy and cool it can be hard to find the right occasion to wear mesh. But mesh tops to mesh dresses, I'm here to tell you they are this seasons festival staple and will be seen everywhere. Mesh can be sassy but playful making it a top-trending festival style you'll love to be creative with for your next festival outfit. Plus, breathable fabric makes a hell of a lot of sense for those hotter festival days. Make the ultimate mesh statement in this must-have two piece, featuring a blue hue material and flared sleeves. Hello? This screams festival vibes.

Two-piece Sets

Speaking of two-pieces, they aren't going anywhere either. We've gone through 2 years of being hooked on two-piece sets out of comfort and convenience during the pandemic. But. it's now time to swap out the lounge wear for bold and neon prints as festival season approaches. Two pieces are great for creating monochrome, block colour looks or for just being outright bold and sassy with wild prints. The best part is you can get 3 separate outfits from 1 set, wearing each piece separately as well as together.
